Maria CLARK, France

The artistic process of Maria Clark’s work puts the individual body as the focus of her research and proposals. Human scale is an essential element of her creations. As an image of an island, the body is a topology, it fits into a space that is both defined and infinite, a coat, a habitat, an archipelago where microcosm and macrocosm correspond.

Anarchist, she is also inspired by Taoist thought.

She creates the territory of iz (a fully-fledged Free Territory) in 2010.

She exhibits and performs in France and abroad since 2003 and received the Galileo Price in Florence (Italy) in 2013.

After studying Arts, she is graduated with a Masters in Aesthetics from Paris Sorbonne University. She has ponctually curating activities and has authored several writings, theoretical texts and narratives. She also develops reflexions concerning her profession as a art model.
